Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at KU Cart is empty

Volunteer Leadership Initiative

Thursday, February 7 • 7–8 p.m.
KU Continuing Education, 1515 St. Andrews Dr., Lawrence, Kansas

The Osher Foundation supports significant opportunities for volunteer engagement and leadership and maintains that strong volunteer opportunities contribute to a successful and happy lifestyle. It also regards volunteerism as a way to infuse Osher programming with the talents and skills of its membership.

We are looking for members to participate in three committees.

Hosting Committee—This spring we are looking for congenial hosts to help with attendance, handouts, and evaluations in exchange for attending the courses for free.

Special Events Committee—A committee can help us create and manage new educational and fun special events, including lectures, performances, tours and field trips.

Marketing Committee—We would like to tap into the marketing savvy of those members who may have new and creative ways to promote and expand our program.

Informational Session

If you are interested, please join us for a learn-more-about-it reception on Thursday, Feb. 7. We’ll review the format and functions of each committee and the benefits volunteers would enjoy.
