Faculty Bio

James Carothers

Professor, Ph.D. (Virginia)

Areas of research:
Short fiction and articles and reviews on modern fiction, American humorists, baseball in American literature

Selected Publications:
William Faulkner's Short Stories (1985), Reading Faulkner Collected Stories (2006)

Prof. Carothers is the founding co-editor of The Faulkner Journal. He won the Kemper Fellowship for Teaching Excellence, 2001.
