Most people do not realize how much work goes into making painting, glass and sculpture. For most artists, being creative is hard work. It requires diligence and self-discipline. Many surrender some of the usual satisfactions of life to devote themselves to it. But, being on the edge of an idea and discovering something new is very exciting. Lectures will include looks at actual artwork, discussion of art history, art collecting and the importance of art museums.
