Medicine in the 20th century was based in biochemistry—understanding how molecular processes build the cells, tissues and organs of our bodies. Twenty-first century medicine will be based on biophysics—understanding how molecules communicate electronically to maintain the body’s physiology. From these new biophysical perspectives, ancient healing methods such as acupuncture, which looked like nonsense to biochemical medicine, are now understood as subtle energetic balancing methods. This course explores new insights into the benefits of ancient, traditional practices from around the world, surveying more than 50 years of innovation on the frontiers of energy medicine.
